Now plurk developer has made it possible. just follow my instructions below

1. Complete your profile, try to reach 100 % profile completeness, although some of my friend could upload his own emoticons with only 90 % complete profile. just fill your secondary email, school, preferences, etc.. don’t worry, plurk promises not to leak your personal data

2. Go to your plurk box, click on your emoticons button, select “My Emoticons Tab”

you could either upload emoticons from your own PC or insert the image link from internet.

After the picture has been uploaded or selected, choose the “keyword” which you want to use when you want to show your emoticons. The pattern is enclosed by side bracket. For example, if you upload an emoticon and rename it as “sample” you should type “[sample]” to use that emoticons.

3. Back to your My Emoticons tab, choose emoticon you wish to use and click it. Or simply type the keyword if you already memorized it

First, plurk now shows how many people are clicking “Like” button on our status, on the bottom right side of our plurk. No need to expand our plurk just to find out how many people are liking our status.

Then, Plurk allows user to backup their data, from the first time we greet “hello” to the world till we updated status about our dinner last night, isn’t it cool?

Plurk now also measure the completeness of our profile. I don’t much know what is this feature for or how plurk measure it, but in my plurk, i filled my complete name, gender, and about, and plurk says that my profile is 53 % complete. Oh wait, now there’s an extra tab on our profile named Extra, maybe plurk will use our profile complete data for matching plurker with same interests in their friend suggestions feature, maybe :p

Finally, now we are able to change our display name color, from default reddish colour to Red, Blue or Green Colour. To change your display name color, go to “edit” section on My Profile Tab, you’ll find there are 3 available colors for our display name (red, green or blue). It answers my curiosity about how @ryanlim ‘s profile name are blue-colored.

but don’t worry, you still can use the customized emoticons in your profile that already
been uploaded by someone else. I’ve already made the emoticons listing.

How to use it?
simply block the image, copy image location (it depends on your browser) and paste it.
Custom emoticons always started with emos.plurk.com url.
Another tricky way to use the emoticons is block and drag the images to the plurk box,
if somebody else has already used the emoticons before

to be frank, recently, i’m not trying the plurka yet, but my friend tells me that the application has already provides custom emoticons and the emoticons can be used easily for user, you can easily use those emoticons in your mobile by using plurka application. simply go to the android market and download the application, for free…

chrome user could easily use those emoticons using an emoticon extension, download and install it

Even some of you have already memorized the emoticons code, don’t you?

Recently, plurk has released `tons` of hidden emoticons, i’ve listed all of those emoticons on my previous article and now it seems so difficult to remember all of those emoticons code.Fortunately, some plurkers have create an easy way to use those emoticons, no need to memorize. This way works on Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browser.

The secret is in an extension for Mozilla Firefox called Greasemonkey, an extension that allow someone to modify certain web page interface using user-defined scripts in Javascript. Hundred of user-defined script have already published in http://userscripts.org, including Plurk enhacement script. Now how could we use those emoticons in plurk? these are the steps…

1. For Mozilla Firefox users, make sure that greasemonkey add-on has already installed on your Mozilla Firefox. Else, go  here and follow the installation steps. Restart browser to complete instalation. Chrome user? Skip this step, just go directly to step 3.
2. After Firefox restarted, make sure that this cute monkey icon is showed in bottom right of your browser, It indicates that greasemonkey has added to your browser.
3. Now, enable this complete hidden emoticons script, choose install.
4. Restart your browser once again, and the plugin is ready to be used.Just go to your Plurk homepage and tap on emoticons icon. This is how the script works

Several days ago my friend encountered some problem with his facebook account, he asked for my help. He left his notebook in the evening and when he woke up in the next morning he couldn’t log on to his email and facebook account.

He easily could recover his email password because he has added secondary email to his email account, but when he tried to recover his facebook password, there were some problems

First, he try to recover his password through “Forgot My Password”, FB send him a recovery email but when he came back to his account FB told him that his account was suspended temporarily.

Second, he asked me for help. I told him to try recover his password through this link. Seems that this way also didn’t works

Third, i tried to find out how could i send email directly to FB developer, then i found the Facebook Help. Seems there’s no way to send email directly to the developers. After I looking around and asked it on Google, I found the Phishing section on the Facebook Help, seems that it would be helpful. So I Choose to recover “My Friends Account”. I describe all of the problems that encountered by my friends, then I received an email (definitely seems that it came from automatic answering email engine), that told me to go to a link and enter a confirmation code that has been sent to my friend email account. After entering the confirmation code, seems that everything was fine, I asked to enter new password and then…

voilaa….

“The Account is temporarily suspended”

seems nothing different with two solutions above. When i tried to follow the steps, FB said that My friend’s account was locked, huh…

and now,
what should he do? what can i do to help him recover his account?

I’m totally out of ideas. I can’t explain the problems my friend encountered directly because it seems that facebook automatically answer the user problem with machine, well this one is little bit disappointing for me, how could recover FB account was so difficult? Another friend of mine, who tried to delete his account was told me that the deletion steps is such long and complicated one.

Whereas, some weeks ago, i got problems with my wordpress blog when i tried to export my blog. Then i contact the developer team, and they help me nicely, guided my through step by step explanation and send me personal email to help me, NOT an automated email generated from a machine.

Then, what can I say about those Facebook help?

last night on the new year’s eve i didn’t go everywhere, just bought some roasted corn nearby and spend my night coding, surfing and plurking, and i realized that last night, plurk has encountered some minor bugs

1. Some of my friends timeline showed birthday cake, although their birthday is not today. They congratulated by their friends and totally out of ideas because their birthday is not today for sure.

2.Last night i blocked a user on my timeline for unconvenience reason, you know, some kind of “karma hunter”, that’s my terminology for a person who ask for boost on your timeline, they appears on your timeline, posting some annoying response (RESPON, boosted, boost back, etc… WTF!)  and asked you to respond nack on their timeline. He appears on my timeline, i blocked him, gave some farewell and guess what? he still appeared on my timeline (doh). Pardon that i didn’t post the screenshoot here because my connection was slowing down, but you can check on my timeline particularly on this thread.

I think there’re some another plurk bug today.I hope the plurk team, @amix particularly will fixed this issue as soon as possible…
